Albert W. Papa currently serves as Executive Chairman of Cambridge Consulting Group.

As a founding partner, Al has been the driving force that has helped Cambridge grow from a two-man operation in 1985 to one of the largest privately held insurance and financial services firms. His leadership, strategic savvy and belief in giving back to the community permeates the entire firm, figuring prominently in its continued success.

With over 30 years in the financial and insurance industries, Al has built an impeccable reputation and was recently named a Five-Star Wealth ManagerSM in Estate Planning by dBusiness and HOUR Magazine for five consecutive years.. Along with his responsibilities at Cambridge, he serves as a consultant to insurance companies and financial firms throughout the United States, advising them on product development and distribution platforms.

From the beginning, Al has focused on a culture of excellence at Cambridge. “Service and ideas are the only things that are proprietary,” he says. “Our people must care and be at the top of their games.” He believes one of the firm’s “predominant skill sets is the ability to listen and to help clients synthesize what their goals are,” and that Cambridge further distinguishes itself by offering objectivity and a transparent, inclusive process to its clients.

Al has served on the boards of various charitable and business organizations over the years, including Kensington Academy and the March of Dimes. He is a long-time active member of the Advanced Association of Life Underwriters (AALU) and currently sits on the Board of Directors of Chemical Bank (NASDAQ:CHFC), as well as ARC, a reinsurance company.
