The history of Cambridge Consulting Group is one of constant improvement, innovation and an unwavering commitment to the values that have kept our company and our clients evolving.

From the past, to the present, and the future beyond…Our mission continues: To help protect what is most important to our clients and to guide them on a path to prosperity.

February 1985

In 1985, Cambridge began as an idea of its two founding partners Albert W. Papa and Ralph W. Eagle. Al and Ralph created Cambridge Financial Services (CFS) and moved into an office in Mount Clemens, MI.

1989

Cambridge Financial Services (CFS) saw the need to focus on the advisors core competencies. It was then that Al and Ralph transitioned from generalists to leading industry specialists. Al Papa’s primary focus would continue with individual wealth management, while Ralph Eagle would focus on employee benefits.

2001

Cambridge Financial Services (CFS) relocates its Headquarters to The Columbia Center in Troy, MI.

2007

Cambridge Financial Services (CFS) changed its corporate name to Cambridge Consulting Group, and four unique practice groups emerged. With the name change came an exciting new brand and new corporate look.

July 2008

Cambridge Consulting Group partners with Bswift and introduces CCG Access PointTM, a fully integrated online benefits enrollment/administration platform.

July 2012

Complete rebranding of Cambridge Consulting Group to strategically align corporate logo and name with practice group.

June 2013

Due to the ever changing world of health care and benefits, Cambridge Consulting Group introduces CCG Exchange SolutionsTM, to further expand its interactive technology platform with enhanced technology, added functionality, configurability and services.

October 2013

Cambridge Consulting Group opens a second location in Downtown Detroit in the One Woodward building.

March 2014

Cambridge Consulting Group introduces the Qualified Plans Practice Group.

October 2014

Cambridge Consulting Group’s Executive Chairman, Albert W. Papa announces that the company’s executive management board has elected Daniel A. Cornwell as CEO and Cameron M. Kennedy as President.

March 2015

Cambridge Consulting Group expands the Risk Management Practice Group with new team members.

July 2015

Cambridge Consulting Group celebrates its 30th Anniversary.

August 2015

Cambridge Consulting Group further enhances its wellness solutions & programs with the branding of CCG Wellness Connection.
